Exclusive: Coalition for Health AI will help The Joint Commission write responsible AI ‘playbooks’
The Joint Commission is forming a partnership with the Coalition for Health AI to develop responsible AI “playbooks,” tools, and a new certification program for health AI, STAT has learned.
The partnership brings together the expertise of the health AI trade organization, which boasts 3,000 members from across the health care and life sciences industries, with the reach of The Joint Commission, which is the nation’s oldest health care accreditation organization. A press release, originally scheduled for release Wednesday, says that the partnership will drive the development and adoption of AI best practices and guidance in “over 80% of health care organizations and programs in the U.S.”
