Hologen, a secretive AI startup co-founded by former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, is seeking to raise $150 million in a Series A fundraising round, STAT has learned.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Hologen describes itself as a \u201cfrontier medical AI company, a drug development & diagnostics company, and an investment company, wrapped into one,\u201d according to a slide deck obtained by STAT. Spun out of University College London and King\u2019s College London, Hologen has received seed money from family investment office SW7 as well as Schmidt. According to materials accompanying the pitch deck, the round will allegedly be led by Averin and Atlas.<\/p>\n
The company plans to build what it calls \u201clarge medicine models\u201d that account for variation in different people\u2019s biology and responses to treatment, which will \u201cunmask true treatment effects in late-stage trials\u201d and \u201cde-risk billion-dollar clinical trials,\u201d says the pitch deck. <\/p>\n
