Also, Sanofi is deprioritizing its mRNA flu vaccine.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-need-to-know-this-morning\">The need-to-know this morning<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\n<p>Regeneron Pharmaceuticals expects an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globenewswire.com\/news-release\/2026\/01\/30\/3229415\/0\/en\/Regeneron-Reports-Fourth-Quarter-and-Full-Year-2025-Financial-and-Operating-Results.html\" rel=\"noopener\">FDA approval decision<\/a> in the first half of this year for its gene therapy to treat a rare, genetic cause of hearing loss. An application for the therapy, called DB-OTO, was filed in December, the company said. The FDA awarded DB-OTO a Commissioner\u2019s National Priority Voucher last October. Regeneron also reported fourth-quarter and 2025 earnings.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>European regulators have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ema.europa.eu\/en\/news\/ema-starts-review-tavneos-medicine-rare-autoimmune-diseases-gpa-mpa\" rel=\"noopener\">started a review<\/a>\u00a0of Amgen\u2019s drug Tavneos following \u201cemerging information that raises questions regarding the data integrity\u201d of the main study that supported approval, the European Medicines Agency said. Tavneos is used to treat patients with two,\u00a0severe inflammatory conditions affecting blood vessels.<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Moderna<\/strong> Chief Medical Officer Jaqueline Miller is <a href=\"https:\/\/feeds.issuerdirect.com\/news-release.html?newsid=7053261457967033&amp;symbol=MRNA\" rel=\"noopener\">stepping down<\/a>, the company said. No reason was given for her departure. Moderna also named David Berman as its new chief development officer. Berman was most recently the R&amp;D chief at Immunocore, a maker of cell-based immunotherapies.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-trumprx-launch-is-delayed-though-details-are-murky\">TrumpRx launch is delayed, though details are murky<\/h2>\n<p><i>From STAT\u2019s John Wilkerson: <\/i>The Trump administration was expected to launch its TrumpRx website today, but those plans have been delayed, according to individuals familiar with the effort. Health secretary Robert F.
