HPE<\/a> has launched a line of eight new servers which it says have been optimised for complex workloads. The HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 range of servers have been designed to help users improve productivity by taking advantage of management features enhanced by AI.<\/p>\nThe servers will feature the upcoming latest generation of Xeon 6 processors for data centre and edge environments. Features include AI-driven insights to inform the cloud-based HPE Compute Ops Management platform, used to help enterprises secure and automate server environments.<\/p>\n
Forecasts of power usage are also said to\u00a0allow enterprises to improve energy efficiency and set thresholds to control carbon emissions. The product portfolio promises an up-to-65% increase in power savings annually compared to legacy enterprise systems. A new global map view meanwhile allows organisations to identify server health issues across distributed IT environments,\u00a0while multi-vendor toolset integration promises to reduce downtime by up to 4.8 hours per server annually.<\/p>\n
The server product line also offers\u00a0built-in security capabilities including an enhanced and dedicated security processor.<\/p>\n
The product portfolio is designed to address demanding workloads including AI, data analytics, edge computing and hybrid cloud. HPE is also offering optional direct liquid cooling support for the servers\u2019 integrated CPUs.<\/p>\n
HPE SVP and GM Krista Satterthwaite said the servers have been designed to address the needs for increasingly data-reliant enterprise customers.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe new HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 servers give organisations \u2014 spanning public sector, enterprise and vertical industries like finance and\u00a0health care\u00a0\u2014 the horsepower and management insights they need to thrive while balancing their sustainability goals and managing costs,\u201d she said. \u201cThis is a modern enterprise platform engineered for the hybrid world, designed with innovative security and control capabilities to help companies prevail over the evolving threat landscape and performance challenges that their legacy hardware cannot address.\u201d<\/p>\n
