Charles Lieber, the former chair of Harvard\u2019s chemistry department and renowned nanoscientist who was\u00a0convicted of lying to federal agents about his ties to China<\/a>, was recently announced as a new professor at a Chinese university.<\/p>\n

Lieber joined the full-time faculty at Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School on April 28 and was appointed to Tsinghua University\u2018s highest faculty position, the university\u00a0announced<\/a>\u00a0this month.<\/p>\n

\u201cShenzhen\u2019s dynamism and innovative spirit align perfectly with my vision to co-create a global scientific hub here,\u201d Lieber said at a ceremony for his appointment, according to the university\u2019s announcement.<\/p>\n
