It\u2019s long been assumed that those Medicaid cuts <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statnews.com\/2025\/02\/07\/trump-tax-cuts-congress-medicaid-hospitals-aca-subsidies\/\">would weigh especially heavy on hospitals\u2019 finances<\/a> because they reduce the number of people with insurance, and hospitals can\u2019t turn people away.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.statnews.com\/2025\/06\/04\/trump-tax-bill-health-care-impact-cbo-says-nearly-11-million-people-will-lose-insurance\/\">Congress\u2019 nonpartisan scorekeepers projected<\/a> that the bill would reduce federal spending by $797 billion over a decade and lead to nearly 11 million people becoming uninsured. But they didn\u2019t parse out the impact on industry sectors.
