Hitachi subsidiary Hitachi Vantara<\/a> has introduced a new fully managed infrastructure consumption service aimed at addressing AI data integration challenges.<\/p>\n

The new Hitachi EverFlex AI Data Hub as a Service has been designed to act as a modern data lakehouse with integrated workbench capabilities for AI, business intelligence and other data needs.<\/p>\n

The solution has been built on Hitachi\u2019s Virtual Storage Platform One, and combines the capabilities of the platform with the Hitachi EverFlex Storage-as-a-Service and Hitachi iQ AI solutions stack for enterprise workloads with Cisco-powered hybrid cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service solutions.<\/p>\n

The company says that users will be able to pay only for the infrastructure they need while still being able to take advantage of the security and control advantages of hybrid cloud.<\/p>\n

The platform\u2019s unified data management software supports block, file, object and software-defined storage infrastructures, while Hitachi iQ provides the necessary infrastructure for AI and analytics workloads, including GPU servers, high-speed storage and networking components. Together, these features will enable Hitachi Vantara\u2019s\u00a0customers to leverage the service to gain a single view of enterprise data in support of their AI and business intelligence initiatives, according to Hitachi Vantara SVP of Global Services Jeb Horton.<\/p>\n

\u201cThrough this new offering, we\u2019re helping customers integrate, prepare and gain more control over relevant data despite the ensuing boom of unstructured data created by AI,\u201d he said. \u201cUltimately, this solution empowers organisations to meet their data where it is, accelerating AI innovation and experimentation, delivering real-time insights, and significantly reducing the cost and complexity of managing today\u2019s distributed data landscape.\u201d<\/p>\n
