The Duchenne muscular dystrophy community is reeling following the second death of a patient from liver failure caused by Sarepta Therapeutics\u2019 gene therapy Elevidys. On Monday, my colleague Jason Mast and I\u00a0reported on the immediate consequences<\/a>\u00a0of this tragic event for Duchenne patients, their caregivers, and physicians.<\/p>\n

This newsletter, of course, looks at biotech events through a Wall Street lens, so it\u2019s appropriate to mention here that Sarepta shareholders aren\u2019t feeling all that great, either. What comes next \u2014 recovery or more pain \u2014 is hard to predict.\u00a0<\/p>\n
