WASHINGTON \u2014 Senate Republicans passed President Trump\u2019s landmark tax bill <\/a>Tuesday morning, putting transformational health provisions a major step closer to enactment.<\/p>\n

The bill slashes health care spending by more than $1 trillion over a decade, cuts that would affect patients, hospitals, and doctors nationwide. It will force states to make tough decisions about how to balance their budgets as the federal government pulls back.<\/p>\n

In all, nearly 12 million<\/a> more people are projected to lose health insurance, undoing a big chunk of the gains achieved in the 15 years since the Affordable Care Act was passed.<\/p>\n
