WASHINGTON \u2014 Vinay Prasad is returning to the Food and Drug Administration to resume his role overseeing vaccine, gene therapy, and blood product regulation.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cAt the FDA\u2019s request, Dr. Vinay Prasad is resuming leadership of the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research,\u201d Health and Human Services spokesman Andrew Nixon told STAT on Saturday.<\/p>\n
It is not clear whether Prasad will also still serve as the FDA\u2019s chief medical and scientific officer.
