WASHINGTON \u2014 In the days after health secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. pushed out the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention<\/a>, he suggested sweeping changes were needed to reform the agency \u2014 and that the ouster was part of his plan.<\/p>\n \u201cThe agency is in trouble, and we need to fix it, and we are fixing it,\u201d Kennedy said in a Fox News interview the day after the director was ousted and several high-level officials resigned in protest<\/a>. \u201cAnd it may be that some people should not be working there anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n In a Tuesday opinion article in the Wall Street Journal<\/a>, Kennedy said he had \u201creplaced leaders who resisted reform,\u201d though he didn\u2019t name them.
