<\/p>\nOracle<\/a> has announced the Australian launch of its Oracle Database@Google Cloud<\/a> offering, starting with Google Cloud\u2019s Melbourne data centre.<\/p>\n The solution enables Australian customers to access the Oracle Exadata Database Service on dedicated infrastructure, running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure within a Google Cloud region. Enterprises will be able to combine Oracle\u2019s AI Database with Google Cloud\u2019s Gemini and Vertex AI platforms, while keeping data hosted locally to satisfy regulatory and data sovereignty concerns.<\/p>\n Joint customers will meanwhile be able to create cloud applications using the Oracle AI Database to operate on the infrastructure, and to migrate existing applications to Oracle AI Database services running on OCI in Google Cloud data centres.<\/p>\n Oracle Regional MD for Australia and New Zealand Stephen Bovis said the offering will support strong demand from customers for multicloud solutions.<\/p>\n \u201cThis gives our mutual customers in Australia the ability to seamlessly combine the high performance of Oracle AI Database with Google Cloud\u2019s native AI and analytics services and accelerate innovation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Google Cloud VP for Australia and New Zealand Paul Migliorini welcomed the collaboration.<\/p>\n \u201cBy bringing together Oracle\u2019s database and applications with Google Cloud\u2019s AI platform services, we are empowering our customers to rapidly accelerate their cloud journey, unlock new AI-driven innovation, and thrive in a multicloud world,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Google Cloud and Oracle partners will also be able to purchase Oracle Database@Google Cloud from the Google Cloud Marketplace via a private offer and resell it to their customers, or integrate the offering into solutions to support multicloud and IT modernisation initiatives.<\/p>\n The partner program is open to members of both the Google Cloud Partner Advantage program and the Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN).<\/p>\n Accenture Technology Lead for Australia and New Zealand Matt Coates confirmed the company will be taking advantage of the program.<\/p>\n \u201cAs a strategic partner to both Oracle and Google Cloud, we are helping organisations in Australia embrace a true multicloud approach to modernise their IT foundations and accelerate innovation with data and AI,\u201d he said.\u00a0\u201cThe launch of Oracle Database@Google Cloud in Australia comes at a time when organisations are accelerating their multicloud strategies, offering a powerful opportunity to deliver more integrated, data-driven solutions.\u201d<\/p>\n
