Medicare doesn\u2019t back down<\/h2>\n

Late Friday, Medicare issued its final word<\/a> on physician payments for 2026. The agency is following through on\u00a0its earlier plan to cut payments for surgeries and other procedures by 2.5%, or what it\u2019s calling the efficiency adjustment, over strong objections from surgeons and other specialists.\u00a0<\/p>\n
