WASHINGTON \u2014 As long-revered health institutions come under new scrutiny in President Trump\u2019s Washington, one powerful group is shifting its strategy.<\/p>\n
The Children\u2019s Hospital Association, which represents more than 200 hospitals and spends millions on lobbying each year, announced Tuesday a new messaging approach and internal changes to support it.<\/p>\n
The group plans to pivot<\/a> to promoting the health of American children broadly and highlighting the importance of pediatric health to the country as a whole. To accomplish those goals, the group will emphasize the importance of using evidence in policymaking \u2014 and will itself build out its data capabilities.<\/p>\n The new strategy shares themes with health secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.\u2019s Make America Health Again<\/a> agenda.
