WASHINGTON \u2014 Trump administration officials at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention laid out 16 strategic initiatives this week, many of them bolstering health secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.\u2019s priorities, according to an internal agency memo obtained by STAT.<\/p>\n
The list, which acting CDC Director Jim O\u2019Neill shared with employees, includes \u201cenhancing scientific rigor,\u201d new disease surveillance tools, \u201cdownsizing\u201d animal testing, and increasing screening for hepatitis B in pregnant women.
